The Hernando Children's Bicycle Safety Village is a miniature town used for bike safety instruction for children from kindergarten to the sixth grade. The Hernando Police Department provides bicycle safety instructions and "Rules of the Road" to the participants. The village is a mobile unit that can be set up at many different locations, including day care centers, schools, shopping areas, etc. Media exposure and advertisement is often included for each of the events. The events will be held numerous times throughout the year.
